Abstract

Products are goods offered by producers that must be felt, requested, searched for, purchased, used, or consumed by market consumers to make ends meet. The products offered are businesses where producers want to benefit from the products offered and there is consumer demand. In the traditional food business, producers must further optimize the quality of taste and product packaging design in order to be able to compete with other products on the market. In the traditional food business, producers also need to improve the quality of taste and attractive product packaging designs in order to compete with food products produced in the market. When packaging redesign uses the Kansei engineering methodology, respondent data is needed to analyze consumer ratings of the packaging design for Tempe Chips products. The consumer evaluation obtained from the kansei stage resulted in a collection of 30 kansei words for product packaging design and 17 kansei words for product taste, after that a grouping of kansei words with the same meaning was carried out and the elimination of Kansei -words from this group. and performed a linear regression test. From the results of the kansei word removal stage of the package design, 12 (twelve) kansei words were selected, namely: good, bright color, good plastic material, has a brand, has composition, cell phone number, has an expiration date, food production date, production address, different from the other, elegant and has a logo, if it's for taste. of these products are the results of 6 (six) selected Kansei words, namely: different from the others, not easily wet, not greasy, cooked, crunchy and delicious. The results obtained from the elimination stage were then used to carry out multiple linear regression tests, based on the results of multiple linear regression tests, it was determined that the word kansei was more important than alpha in package design. up to 5 kansei words, namely light color, composition, telephone number, food production date and production address, while for product taste there is no kansei word which is more meaningful than alpha.
