Abstract

Today, in the disruptive millennial, the sustainable industry sector depend on the efficiently of the production processes. In engineering design, the process of drafting design has been changing from a manual process to be computerized using Computer-Aided Design software. Today, the kinds of Computer–Aided Design are variance, i.e., AutoDesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Solidworks, ProEng, CATIA, and so forth. The impact is the industry needing skill worker in the design area. SMK is the middle vocational school that is designing to produce the skilled worker. One is the skilled worker in the design area.Further, the social care for the teacher and technician in the SMK with the topic of introduction and training of Computer-Aided Design is needing. Hope, the teachers, also the technicalities capability in this area can be improved the competency of the students in this SMK. Moreover, the skilled worker in this area will be full-fully. The training method used to, the first was choosing the software; the second created the material training, the third set every participant got the computer in the teaching event. The fourth the training evaluated at the end event. This process to conducts better training in the future. The software used to a CATIA V5. The reasons are easy to learn, used by various manufacture company in the world, can be used as a mention to learn another CAD software. The training results showed that the participants capable of creating the 3D single and the 3D assembly model also built the technical drawing (2D working drawing).
